How we look after your data.

Plain English on what we collect, why, how we protect it, and what rights you have. Last updated April 2026.

1. Introduction

Technologikal (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our IT support and consulting services.

2. Information we collect

In providing IT services, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Business contact information: Name, email address, phone number, company name and business address.
  • Technical information: System configurations, network details, software inventory and performance data.
  • Service data: Support tickets, service requests and communications related to our services.
  • Access credentials: Passwords, security keys and authentication information necessary to provide services.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver support: Provide, maintain and improve our IT support services.
  • Operate and troubleshoot: Monitor systems and resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate: Get in touch about services, updates and support matters.
  • Keep things secure: Ensure the security and proper functioning of your IT.
  • Meet obligations: Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

4. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational security measures, including:

  • Encrypted communications: Secure transport and encrypted storage for sensitive data.
  • Access controls: Authentication and permissioning for anyone accessing client data.
  • Regular audits: Security reviews and updates, documented and actioned.
  • Cyber Essentials: Certified security practices across our operations.
  • Staff training: Ongoing training on data protection and confidentiality.

5. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, trade or rent your information. We share information only where:

  • Service providers: Trusted vendors assisting in delivery, under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal requirements: Required by law, court order or legal process.
  • Business protection: To protect our rights, property or safety, or that of our clients.
  • Your consent: Any other disclosure is made only with your explicit permission.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services and meet legal obligations. Service data may be kept for up to 7 years for business and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access: See the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Object: Object to processing of your data.
  • Portability: Request data portability.
  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on it.

8. Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use our website. This is the only tracking technology on the site.

  • Consent first: No analytics cookies are set unless you accept the cookie banner. If you reject, GA does not load at all.
  • What is collected: Anonymised IP address, page paths, referrer, device and browser type, and a session identifier. We do not collect names, emails or any directly identifying information through analytics.
  • Why: To see which pages are useful, where visitors come from and where the site needs improvement.
  • How long: GA4 retains event data for 14 months by default.
  • Change your mind: You can withdraw or grant consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
  • Search Console: We also use Google Search Console for SEO health, but it relies on aggregated search data rather than tracking individual visitors — no cookies involved.

9. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their policies before using them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Supervisory authority

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection supervisory authority.
